I HAVE PLAYED FIFA 08 ON PC! all i can say is lalalala!

Thank goodness for the xbox 360 version, which i am going to buy(seeing as i have a 360 now) fifa 08 on the pc, is rubbish, played the full game and its rubbish, for all you pc fifa players out there hoping for a good game, sorry, as we all speculated fifa 08 on the pc is fifa 07.3, except the graphics look way worse.

gameplay 5/10
graphics 1/10
sound 7/10
features 8/10
be a pro mode : 2/10

the pc be a pro is simply a pain, nothing like the xbox 360 version, the camera is lalalala, and the game is exactly the same as the normal kick-off tbh.

some of the bugs in the pc demo, i have sadly already seen in the full game, bugs such as commentary bugs, and even gameplay bugs.

This is my review of fifa 08 on the pc, on to better things fifa 08 on the xbox 360 i can't wait for.

i knew but i ordered it and it will come to me tomorrow i had ps2 but i wanted to try it on PC hmmm guess il try it and then sell it in a game store , when i get a PS3 then i can buy fifa08 again alot of people are not liking it on pc version!

i don't think the game is that bad, it plays better than 07 that's obvious (07 really was lalalala)... and they improved a lot of things, it's really harder against the computer now, keepers can get red carded, they can even shoot penalties, switching players, etc...

i was going to order it but i cancel it at the last second

huge dissapointed,i test it minutes before,bugs bugs bugs ,worst graphics than 07 a huge dissapointment

look like a (BAD)patched fifa 07

the commentary also is hilarius (shoot over the bar and you hear them say great save etc)

also less teams(no panathinaikos lalala)

gameplay hmm,looks different but it isnt

I don't know what were you thinking. I must agree you made some changes: updated rosters (at least you got this right), made playing against PC a little harder ... what else ? Nothing.

Adding "Be a Pro" option was good thinking but with that camera ? Come one we want to feel the game not just run around. Controling one player existed on PES long time ago, the camera (ps3/360) was something new that you decided not to share with PC players. Shame on you.

Controlling GK. As I know this was the first time a football game made this option, but what about users that play the game with gamepads ? Didn't you heard the news ? We can connect a gamepad in PC now. Or you thought that gamepads have only the left analog and no-one uses the left one.

Last thing I would like to mention are menus. What's the change between Fifa07 and Fifa08 menus ? The white background ? Oh ye that is really, really classy. Advice for Fifa09: If you can't afford someone to design new MENU, make a contest in this forum, I'm sure we (players) can give you some better designs than the actual one.

I would really appreciate if ANYONE from EA staff could answer on these questions:
Did you add any tricks in PC version?
Do you plan making a patch and fix the PC version?
Would you buy Fifa 2008 if you had only PC (no NG console)?

will return my pc version back tomorrow when it arrives from Gameplay after looking at this thread most people are dissapointed and instead get it on ps2 getting a ps3 next month so i might aswell play on ps2 rather then waste time on PC

I am very very happy to see that a lot of people share the same opinion of the PC version, and I advise you not to buy the PC version, at all costs, if you have pre-ordered it cancel the order NOW! as you already have the game(fifa 07)

fifa 08 is simply updated kits, and nothing else!
the be a pro camera is g_y(feel free to fill in the gap), why couldn't EA simply give the pc version the pro cam in next-gen, even if the graphics dont look so good.

after playing it for another hour here is my new review:

features-----> 0.5/10
sound------> 5.5/10 (lots of commentary bugs)
be a pro camera----> 1/10 (simply disgusting)

DONT BUY THIS GAME ON THE PC!

thanks mate gonna send my pre owned pc version when it arrives just had that feeling it will be poor on PC gonna get it for ps2 instead and when i get ps3 might get it for that too

I got it on PS2 even though I knew deep down it would be lalalala. Sadly I think I've been proved right. I've only played a few games and I've seen huge bugs already. Someone fouls me in a game and it shows them getting booked. I take the free kick and all the opposition team have disappeared. My 11 players are the only team on the field..... Plus also lots of commentary bugs. "That's a great save." Really Clive? The keeper got no where near the ball! You can tell the PS2 is coming to the end of it's life. It's nothing more than a transfer update. Perhaps it's different on next gen but how on earth anyone can say FIFA is better than Pro Evo on current gen is beyond me. This coming from someone who only purchased PES for the first time last year.

Sadly I can't afford a PS3 at the moment. For current gen I advise people not to bother. It will be a let down. I'm counting down the days for Pro Evo 2008.

fifa 08 on the PC is a joke!

Look at all the reviews, I am not the only one disapointed about fifa 08 on the PC.
it is way better to get it on a next-gen console(PS3, XBOX 360) if you can afford one, if you can't, hopefully your finances will improve, and you will be able to get one, but please by ALL means DONT! make the mistake I and some other people have done, buying the pc version, plz dont.

I am already trying to return or give away the game, or guess what I could sell it on ebay.

I just dont want to play it and suffer any longer.

I shall buy the 360 version, and play that one instead, pro is going to whoop fifa's *** on the PC market, cuz so many people have good enough PC's for PES.

EDIT: let me just add this, fifa 08 on the PC is almost as buggy as fifa 07, seriously!.
